The five-album cycle is now complete. This work has been a labor of love, and was a long and troubled journey over the course of the five or six years that it took to complete it.

In 2016, someone told me to stop threatening to quit making music, and to instead pull myself out of the confines of the tiny niche of a genre that I had settled into, and to simply make the music that I felt wanting to come out of me. Though each song in all of these albums can easily be pigeon-holed and filed away in its own appropriate slot, the totality of the work is an attempt to grow as a composer, or writer, or producer, or talentless hack, whichever of those I may feel like on any given day.

I don't know how well I did. I don't know if I've grown enough as a producer to call myself an artist, yet. I don't know much of anything, to tell the truth. I do, however, know that Keej was right, and that this hulking wad of a five album opus was what I needed to do to make peace with the cognitive dissonance that comes with absolutely hating a thing that you love.
